TruGreen Gloucestershire’s Run2Paris

TruGreen Gloucestershire’s Mike Simmonds is raising money for Parkinson’s UK and SSAFA with Run2Paris.

Run2Paris is a fundraising initiative supporting two great charities: Parkinson’s UK and SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity.

TruGreen Gloucestershire Owner and Director Mike Simmonds is participating this year and needs your support.

But what is Run2Paris?

The task at hand

The challenge is to… well: run to Paris. In just four days.

On the 25-28th May, the relay teams set off from London.

Each teammate will complete a set mileage daily, taking them from basecamp to basecamp (with a short ferry ride to cross the channel).

By the end of day four, the teams will arrive in Paris, having completed the 225-mile journey between them.

Each leg of the journey is roughly the distance of a half marathon and tracks the distance from the Wimbledon Tennis Club to the Eiffel Tower.

After four days running, the teams will reunite at the Trocadero to finish the home stretch and cross the finish line together.

The Charities

The Team

Mike Simmonds is the Owner and Director of TruGreen Gloucestershire, providing quality and professional lawn care services across Gloucestershire.

As a regular charity partner, Mike is no stranger to aiding charities in their quests to make the world a better place for us all.

As a supporter of the Pied Piper Appeal, who has fundraised through exercise and sport, Mike is no stranger to the requirements of a challenge like Run2Paris.

And he won’t be doing it alone.

Mike is partnering with fellow business owners in Gloucester to form his relay team; Ben Limbrick from First Aid & Trauma Training; Alex Kell and Adam Chotoye from Quayside Wealth Management; Christopher Price from Tayntons Solicitors.

The team are currently in training for the initiative and already smashing their fundraising target.

Each team has a target of £2000, with a £400 goal per member. At the time of writing, Mike has already raised £812.

Combined with his teammates, this amount already exceeds the £2000 team goal!

All that’s left to say is good luck and well done to Mike and the team for when they Run2Paris.
